Los Angeles Children’s Day Celebrations – Grand Success

IYANA with support of NATS organized children’s Day Celebrations on November 15th in Long Beach, California with support of NATS.  As part of this event, bowling competitionsand Arts & Crafts competitions conducted around different cities in Los Angeles area.These competitions conducted in three different age grounds i.e.  4-7 years, 8 to 11 years and 12 to 18 years.

Around 325 kids participated in the children’s day celebrations with passion and enthusiasm. 100 kids participated in bowling competitions and 50 kids participated in Arts & Crafts competitions. All the programs reflected the culture from different parts of the India.

Children’s day event got tremendous response from all over Los Angeles are individuals and dance schools.  About1000 people attended this event.  All the participants reported at 12:00 PM to with enthusiasm and the program started on time 2:00 PM. Audience enjoyed 4 hours of non-stop entertainment from the participants. The program ended by 6:00 PM as scheduled.

Every program was so appealing with rich and colorful costumes wore by highly talented kids. Classical dances, Semi Classical dances, Bollywood dances, Tollywood dances, singing, and various other programs entertained the crowd for full 4 hours

Fashion show with over 50kids whipped the audience into frenzy. The back ground music hit the spot keeping the audience feet stomping as one kid after another walked onto the stage. The fashion show concluded with all the participants walking onto the stage at once that looked like star gazing.

Prizes and trophies were awarded to Bowling,Arts & Crafts and Cultural show participants. NATS sponsored the trophies to all the participants.  Dr. Veeraiahchundugaru and Kishore Kantamanenigaru distributed the trophies to the participants.

Lakshmi Chundugaru thanked all participants, volunteers for their time and dedication in making this event a great success and requested to continue the same support for oncoming NATS Sambaralu.
