Please help Ravi Kiran Mara

Ravi Kiran Reddy Mara(33), an H1-B holder, an IT professional from Chicago, was diagnosed with Metastatic Colon Cancer (Stage IV) in October 2019. Since then, he has been battling alone while his only support being his non-working wife who stays home to take care of their 2 1/2-year-old son who has no clue why his Mom and Dad are making so many trips to the hospital but not to daycare, every week. His work life - the only source of income for his family has been disturbed and his financial stability collapsed over the years due to loss of pay leaves and efforts trying to manage the medical, travel, and family maintenance expenses. He is no longer able to support his aged parents who are currently living in Ankapur village, Armoor District, Telangana India.

The oncologists and doctors from Edward Elmhurst Medical Center (Chicago, IL) treated him; however, more than a year of painful Chemotherapy did not help! With added peritoneal carcinomatosis and chronic bowel obstruction, he is now fighting for his life - surviving only on liquid intake (he cannot eat) and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) administered into a vein via PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter).

Coming from a lower-middle-class family with an agricultural background he had high aspirations in life and just like his peers, he came to the US to pursue his Masters and continue to work as an IT professional - something he was good at. What he was not good at was planning for his family if he is diagnosed with cancer at this young age - just 33 years old!!

He was a modest and simple guy with very few friends outside his working circle and no relatives in the US. After finding his cancer, he didn’t lose courage and hope! He is still fighting!!

మన సాటి తెలుగువాడు మృత్యువుతో పోరాడుతున్నాడు. ఉపాధి కోసం అమెరికాకు వచ్చిన రవి కిరణ్ రెడ్డి మారా ను క్యాన్సర్ కబళించేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉంది. 33 ఏళ్ల వయస్సులో రవి కిరణ్‌ను క్యాన్సర్ సోకడం కలిచి వేసే విషయం. తెలంగాణలోని ఆర్మూర్ జిల్లా అంకాపూర్ కు చెందిన రవి కిరణ్‌ ఓ సామాన్య మధ్య తరగతికి చెందిన వ్యక్తి.. ఒక వైపు తల్లిదండ్రులను, మరో వైపు భార్య పిల్లలను చూసుకోవాల్సిన బాధ్యతలు ఉన్నాయి. అమెరికాలో ఎమ్.ఎస్ చేయటానికి వచ్చి, H1-B వీసా మీద ఉంటూ చిన్న ఉద్యోగం చేస్తూ జీవన పోరాటం సాగిస్తున్న రవి కిరణ్‌ జీవితంలో క్యాన్సర్ అతి పెద్ద శాపంగా మారింది. తనకు మెటాస్టాటిక్ కోలన్ క్యాన్సర్ వచ్చిందని తెలిసేలోపే అది 4 వ స్టేజ్‌కు చేరింది. సంపాదించుకున్న కొద్ది డబ్బులు కూడా వైద్యానికి కరిగిపోయాయి. ప్రాణాలు నిలబెట్టుకునేందుకు అప్పులు చేయాల్సి వచ్చింది. రవి కిరణ్ భార్య తన భర్తను కాపాడుకునేందుకు శత విధాల ప్రయత్నం చేస్తోంది. ఈ పరిస్థితుల్లో మనం సాటి తెలుగు వాడి కోసం మానవత్వంతో స్పందిద్దాం.. మనం రవి కిరణ్ వైద్యం కోసం చేతనైన ఆర్థిక సాయం చేసి... రవి కిరణ్‌ను మృత్యు కోరల నుంచి కాపాడే ప్రయత్నం చేద్దాం. రండి.. రవి కిరణ్‌ను ఆదుకుందాం.. అతడి కుటుంబానికి అండగా నిలుద్దాం.
